My Journey Weekly Blog
One of the most fearful moments in my life was the day that i chose to sign up for a learning how to invest in real estate introductory workshop. i was scrolling on Face Book and came across an add claiming to relieve the fear i was feeling about my future. i clicked on the advertisement, read the information, payed the $17 dollars and signed up. i figured i had wasted $17 on things that had no lasting value so what the heck.
this first introductory workshop blew my mind. a lady close to my age shared how she had became a real estate investor and some of the things she did to be successful. for the first time in my adult life someone told me that i can do the same. that if i was willing to invest in myself, in education, in coaching and follow the steps being taught i would be successful. by the end of the the training i was convinced that i could succeed. so i signed up for the next training workshop being held.
this one was more intensive training. the nuts and bolts of investing and strategies used when buying/selling property. we also learned about the Womens Real Estate Investor Network (WREIN) which consists of women all over the country supporting one another through mentorship, ecouragement, finding deals, private money lending, and more. so, i spent the money and joined.
moral of this story: investing in real estate begins with the most important investment you will ever make.....YOURSELF.
